Description

The Sketchbook Challenge is just as its name suggests: a challenge to FILL a sketchbook! This pre-recorded course is made up of over 10 hours of guided exercises that will introduce a multitude of exercises and methodologies that will instill healthy habits and facilitate a relationship with your sketchbook. Whether you are a beginner or expert in your creative journey, this course will help you uncover ways a sketchbook will benefit your unique creative practice.

Structure

This course is broken up into seven exercises, all of which are listed below. Each exercise is a self-contained exploration and takes 1-2 hours to complete. Some exercises will require homework, others will require preparatory work. All exercises are guided, easy to follow along, and list the time and materials required to ensure you are prepared.

Required materials:

• Sketchbook *watch intro video on selecting a sketchbook

• Pencil (I recommend 2B or similar)

• Ruler

• Dry media (consider colored pencils, markers, crayons, etc)

• Wet Media (consider watercolor, gouache or acrylic paint

• Fixative spray
