Painting the Abstract Landscape explores abstraction, color and mark while painting en plein air in beautiful Truro, Massachusetts. During this five-day workshop, artists will learn how to break down their subject matter into dynamic shape and value, providing the scaffolding for exploratory mark, abstraction, non-local color. Amanda will introduce a different painting exercise each day designed to provide the structure necessary to enter an abstract painting language with intention and ease, while still providing space for freedom and intuition.
