Let’s face it, life gets busy and studio time can be hard to come by but it’s more important than ever to make sure we nurture our souls with meaningful activities and creativity. What's more productive than documenting fall 2021 in our sketchbook with a virtual community of artists from around the world?
Together, we will embark on a 6-week creative journey resulting in a full sketchbook - yes, the goal of our class is to FILL a sketchbook! Along the way we will explore non-traditional warm-up exercises, drawing (both realism and abstraction), color relationships, palette building, collage and most importantly doodling (yes, doodling - it’s vital to the creative process!). A sketchbook is a place to document, make mistakes, learn, and play like nobody’s watching. I’m here to help facilitate a deeper relationship between you and your sketchbook.
Supplies: The only item required for this class is a sketchbook. I recommend a mixture of wet (paint) and dry (markers, colored pencils, pens, etc) media in order to complete all exercises. Additional materials are welcome, on the flip side do not worry if you don't have a few items listed below.
Mixed Media Sketchbook (8.25” x11.75” Moleskine recommended)
Pencil (Hb, 2B or 4B recommended)
Dry Media (Blick Studio Markers, Color Pencils, Pens, Highlighters)
Paint (Acrylic, watercolor or gouache)
Paint supplies (palette, brushes, paper towel, etc)
Glue Stick
Cost: $250
